Dear Amy,

There are some people who are so talented that they can make something out of nothing. Do you know someone like this? You know the kind of person who can make a masterpiece out of a paper bag!  Well, January 31, 2011 was SPIN’s lucky day because a bright eyed, energized, creative star named Amy Crichlow joined the SPIN family and has been making magic ever since!

Busy is an understatement when discussing the Corporate Team’s activity level. Amy, you jumped in immediately bringing fresh new ideas and a sparkle that can light the sky. No event is too challenging for you and you bring a sense of calmness and confidence that adds to the overall success. There is no doubt that there has been much change in the corporate offices in the past two years. You saw this as a chance for opportunity and have certainly stepped up to the challenge. Amy, you split responsibilities with another team member and when that co-worker left in January to pursue other opportunities, you assumed increased responsibilities with data management and daily coordinating to prepare for the many upcoming events.

Amy, you are a true example of someone who is living SPIN’s Pillars throughout your work activities.  Your people first approach in all interactions is wonderful to witness. You have a magnetic personality that people enjoy and therefore want to visit you on a regular occasion.  Getting your work done with the many distractions of your “fan club” is no easy task! But you realize the importance of relationships with all stakeholders and you make time for everyone! Incredible as it is, the Organizational Development Department planned and implemented 6 major events, a Raffle, a membership campaign and supported numerous Third Party Events over the past year! This is more than most organizations achieve in multiple years. Your positive, motivated, whatever it takes attitude ensured that although it was a challenging time for the Corporate team, focused, dedicated effort replaced any fear and the outcomes were successfully accomplished by well-planned and managed events.  Your mastery of event coordination has enabled the team to approach the event with as little stress as possible, making the day focused and fun.  Days of long registration lines are gone as you have developed more efficient and effective registration procedures, creating a no hassle approach for attendees.  Registration is now a smooth process thanks to your diligence and persistence in making it user friendly, not only for attendees but for the volunteers working the event.  There is no doubt that your accomplishments showcase SPIN’s Pillars of Professionalism, High Performance Excellence and Productivity.

Your supervisor Megan Stalker said in her nomination letter that “Amy excels in all areas. In addition to all the events, data management and tracking are crucial to maintain accurate records and build donor history.  Queries, reports and finance reconciliation are all daily tasks that Amy excels at.  Amy’s attention to detail and professional approach have raised the bar in utilizing the Convio and Raiser’s Edge software to its fullest potential”.

In addition, you have mentored Leadership Opportunity representatives, students and interns supporting each of them to gain the most experience and reach their highest potential. You have contributed greatly to the mission of SPIN and support a life of possibilities for so many.   No doubt, your hard work and dedication is recognized by all.

Amy, on behalf of SPIN’s Corporate Board, SPIN Managers, your fellow Corporate Staff team, the individuals, their families and the many members and friends of SPIN, we congratulate you on this most deserving Employee of the Month Award for June, 2013.  Your unique and talented style is an asset to us all. Your magic is appreciated by all. Thank you for continuing to make masterpieces!

With deepest recognition and appreciation,

Judith Dotzman
