Wow! The past six months at SPIN, Inc. have been a challenge to
you. You have been the proverbial "steady ender" in your early
intervention classroom and the wraparound day care. You have always
been an outstanding paraprofessional in Children's Services both at
the Drummond campus and now here at Frankford. But, as Rashim said
in his nomination letter, you have been heaven sent over the past
few months.
Earlier this year your classroom of four staff lost the lead
teacher and then the senior paraprofessional. During the summer the
second lead teacher left leaving you alone with a series of
rotating substitutes. Although you were not the lead teacher you
assumed the responsibilities and ensured that every child received
high quality services. You also ensured that the classroom
maintained compliance in all areas and that everything that needed
to be done to continue the program was implemented. You formed a
team around the substitutes, trained them as to what was needed and
helped them to help you in supporting the forty plus children on
your class rolls.
Help is on the way! A new, hopefully long lasting lead teacher is
currently in training and will be joining you soon. We're sure you
will play a major role in acclimating him to the children and the
classroom and ensuring that not only does every requirement get met
but also that each child has a wonderful preschool
experience.
On behalf of the Board of Directors, your fellow teachers and the
children you support, I am pleased to honor you as Employee of the
Month. We thank you for the dedication, spirit and commitment to
the SPIN, Inc. mission that you have demonstrated in this difficult
period of time. You are a shining example to all of us.
Sincerely,
Trina Losinno
Executive Director
