More than three years ago, when you were a Direct Support
Professional, your supervisor, Chuck Budd, described you as
"diligent". Now that you are a Home Life Coordinator, he has added
"flexible" as well. Diligence and flexibility are great assets to
have when you are responsible for supporting eight individuals who
live in six different homes scattered across Northeast
Philadelphia. You must address programmatic needs, medical
appointments, community outings, home maintenance, healthy
lifestyle choices, transportation, self-medication procedures and
compliance issues related to the supported living program. You are
known to rise to the occasion, no matter what it is, in a
professional and dynamic way.
One of the most challenging aspects of the Home Life Coordinator's
work is documentation but again this is an area where you shine.
You have excellent writing and communication skills so that reading
about the individuals you support is like reading their very
personal story. This gives Chuck and other staff a true and clear
picture of each person as they journey through their life.
So, it is my pleasure to honor you today as Employee of the Month
and to thank you on behalf of the SPIN, Inc. Board of Directors,
your fellow employees and the individuals you support for the care
and dedication you bring to your work. We also wish you well as you
work toward an MBA degree. It is inspiring to all of us to know
someone who has set his sights high and is accomplishing so much.
Congratulations!
Sincerely, Trina Losinno Executive Director
