Craig Collins

Craig Collins

Feb 1, 2012

Dear Craig,

It has been quite some time since we have had an Employee of the Month nomination submitted by a powerful, collaborative team.  However, this month, SPIN selected a nomination for you not only by your proud supervisor, Chris Wasieczko, but also by your inspired colleagues, Cinquetta Howard and Taniola Jovin and a grateful Robert Becker.

This Ulmer team eloquently reminded me that Harold R. McAlindon once said: “Do not follow where the path may lead. Go instead where there is no path and leave a trail”.

Craig, it is simple to see that you have paved and led a trail that motivates all to dig deep and reach for the moon! Your work ethic resonates that you are driven by that which recognizes the personal growth and development of those you support on a daily basis.  Your passionate dedication directly impacts and is so greatly appreciated by the three individuals that you ensure are valued, relevant members of their community, Robert Becker, William Silvers, and Esther Paul. Their social capital is observed and understood.

For those who have been fortunate enough to witness the genuine relationship you have with Robert have been truly blessed.  Knowing Robert’s intense interest in trucks, you have developed numerous innovative opportunities for Robert to enhance his knowledge and community connection to his love of automobiles.  As well, you have encouraged and supported Robert to maintain and enhance his relationship with the Mummers Association, a desired and critical goal of his.

Transition is never easy for anyone of any age or ability but in their most recent move, you saw the challenge that lay ahead for Esther, William and Robert.  You turned that challenge into a true success by taking the lead in creating a comfortable, fun and loving environment, collaborating with all SPIN departments, all along ensuring that Esther, William and Robert’s needs and wants were known and met. Much of this was accomplished “off the clock” with your “whatever it takes” attitude.

Craig, as a top performing, Right Fit, SPIN Direct Support Professional, you embody the personal and professional skills and competencies that ensure the delivery of the highest level of quality services and you do it with an electric smile and positive energy!

On behalf of the SPIN Corporate Board, SPIN Managers, your Ulmer Team colleagues, and most importantly Robert, Esther and William, I am pleased and proud to present to you this most deserving award of January, 2012 Employee of the Month.  As we all attempt to make resolutions for this year, I challenge each of us to follow your incredible demonstrated example of SPIN’s four Pillars of People First, Professionalism, Performance Excellence and Productivity as you are clearly creating and supporting a Life of Possibility.  Congratulations and thank you for all you do and all you are.

Sincerely,

Judith R. Dotzman
