Dear Denise (Neece)

One of the most important decisions a parent makes is who and where their child will receive care when they are not available. Selecting a childcare provider requires reflection, evaluation and a whole lot of trust! The most important ingredient that families are looking for is caring, committed employees who show love, care and help their children learn and grow. That is why SPIN’s Children Services is and has been held in such high regard; our employees care deeply!

It was 1988 and SPIN’s Child Care program was a hallmark in Northeast Philadelphia.  One lucky day, an energetic, sassy young woman walked into SPIN’s doors seeking employment and we hired her on the spot.  Denise (Neece) Godbolt understood the definition of family and she became a part of every family of the hundreds of children she has nurtured and educated over these wonderful 28 years. Denise’s family wall includes hundreds of her students who graduated college, developed careers, and have families of their own. A little bit of Neece is still in each of their hearts. Despite some very difficult and challenging experiences in her own life, Denise is able to bring joy and love always to our children, families and staff.

Denise, you been demonstrating SPIN’s Pillars in your actions and interactions for your entire career.  You requested a transfer to SPIN Frankford when we opened in 2001, since it would lessen your 2 hour ride to the Northeast by public transportation!  At SPIN Frankford, you have served as an Assisting Teacher for many years but now you are sharing your skills, gifts and talents as one of our wonderful, interactive break staff. This means that every day you support 5 classrooms working alongside 5 tremendous teaching teams, actively participating, teaching and engaging with 100 children throughout the day showing your caring commitment,  professionalism and  people first approaches.

Denise, there is no doubt that you bring the party as Trina Losinno implored us to do each and every day!  Whether it is through your engaging smile, boisterous laugh, dance moves or creative ideas an spirit, you bring joy to everyone! You can be seen warmly greeting families when they arrive, singing as you pick up breakfast carts and dancing in the hallways.  As your boasting nominating management team said “Denise brings a whole new flair to productivity!”

Believe it or not, before we know it, the winter will be here. We all know what that means – possible inclement weather! In the wee hours of the morning, before any decisions are made across this organization, the very first question that is asked is “When will Denise be leaving her house to get to work.”   Denise, you are, have always been and will always be critical to SPIN’s best practice services.

You have smiled your way and created an energized atmosphere that is contagious!  Your children first/people first attitude ensures that the needs of all children are the priority and you will do whatever it takes to get this done! You have a gift of making each child feel special and very important in their own eyes and the eyes of others.

On behalf of the SPIN Corporate Board, the SPIN Management Team, your colleagues, and countless children (big and little) and families past, present and future, I congratulate you on this most deserving Employee of the Month Award for November, 2016. As we gather together during this special time of year of Thanksgiving, , I can think of no better time than to share our very special thanks to you for living SPIN’s mission and Pillars. Neece, your love of life is contagious and we, thank you for supporting so many children and their families to live a life of possibility. Thank you for being a key ingredient of the family “Glue”. Together our SPIN family is not just surviving we are thriving!  The Angels from up above and here on earth salute you and send their love and thanks.

With Deepest Congratulations and Appreciation,

Judith Dotzman
Executive Director
