Dear Frances,

Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious! We can all imagine the magical Mary Poppins with her full carpetbag providing the best of direct support as she leads others on fantastical adventures filled with meaningful activity! What joy this brings to all of us. Here at SPIN we are fortunate enough to have our own Mary Poppins, sharing her incredible skills, gifts and talents teaching all along the way and supporting people to live a life of possibilities! Our very own Mary Poppins is the fantastical Frances Graham.

Frances, you entered SPIN’s doors clearly demonstrating our four Pillars in all your actions and interactions and your example is outstanding. Your work is evidence of the true essence of Home and Community Services and the outcomes are beyond measure. Your list of strengths are extensive including creativity, innovation, attention to detail and team building at the highest levels.

Frances, you demonstrate People First approaches in all you do. You create a positive, warm and welcoming environment for everyone.  You create trusting relationships with people we support, families, your colleagues, managers, and the community.

For the SPIN Lehigh 2016 Talent Show, you organized a team of interested people in H&C services, Direct Support Professionals and worked tirelessly to showcase their talents. You organized activity sessions where the people were able to work on their art for the show and you designed and sewed gorgeous fashion pieces for people to wear.  Particularly, one person loves wedding dresses.  You made her dream to wear a wedding dress a reality.  The day of the Show, there wasn’t a person in the audience who wasn’t amazed and so proud of your incredible efforts.

You create a calendar every month, detailing the activities the group plans to participate in. You do this by identifying strengths, goals and interests of each person. You explore new volunteer opportunities in the community and support each person to be successful in their experiences. Your comprehensive, timely documentation of what the group does each day and your keen observation supports people to achieve their outcomes.

Frances, you are an advocate for wellness assuring that people understand and demonstrate healthy living action steps. You support people to advocate for themselves and be self-determined. You make every moment of the day count and make it so very meaningful.

Your big heart and great work does not end with SPIN as you have opened your home and heart participating in Lifesharing and providing a loving home and supporting their relevance in your neighborhood.

Frances, your nomination was submitted by a huge “fan club”. Here are just a few thoughts from your supporters.  Nicole Pentland said “Frances, thank you for all you do!!!  You are a true leader and embody the pillars on which SPIN was built.  I truly admire your selflessness and compassion for everyone you come into contact with.”

Jen Schaadt said Frances, you are soooo well-deserving of this recognition as you have been such an AMAZING asset to our team!  One of the many things that I admire about you is how you truly bring yourself to your position.  You share your unique talents and wealth of experience to benefit the people that you support and our team.  You are a leader and have the ability to inspire others to demonstrate their performance excellence as well.

Frances, your innovative leadership and excellence is recognized and appreciated by all. The magic of Mary Poppins and Frances Graham inspires us to create and share our carpetbag of goodness, skills and talents each day to support people to live a life of possibilities.  Thank you for being Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!
