Dear Heather,

Eleanor Roosevelt said “Believe in yourself. You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you stop to look fear in the face…You must do that which you think you cannot do”.  When the Human Resource team was faced with a critical need in Professional Development they knew that not just anyone could meet the high performance, results oriented qualifications needed. In fact, we sought across the organization wanting to find the “Right Fit” for this special opportunity. And guess where we found it?

For over 9 years, Heather Parvisini demonstrated her commitment to SPIN’s mission through her dedicated and highly competent work in supporting SPIN’s quality Children Services programs as an Administrative Coordinator. There was no doubt that Heather, one of the outstanding Smith Crew, was the Right Fit for this important challenge as her many strengths were exactly what was needed to lead this critical data management transformation.  Transition is never easy for anyone and Heather you turned that challenge into a huge success by jumping right in and taking the lead in developing critical priorities, and using your gifts and talents to make great change.

Heather, you are a true example of someone who is living SPIN’s Pillars throughout your work activities.  Your people first approach in all interactions is wonderful to witness. You are a wonderful Ambassador to our Human Resource Department and to SPIN overall.  Getting your high performance work done with the many distractions within the HR Hub is quite a challenge but you do it with ease and a smile! Incredible as it is, the Human Resource Department has successfully supported 5 licensure/credentialing processes this summer and by the end of next week will make it 7! Heather, you were the key ingredient to Professional Development’s successful outcomes.  Your calm, positive, motivated, whatever it takes attitude ensured that although it was a challenging time for the Human Resource team, focused, dedicated, detail oriented effort replaced any fear and the outcomes were successfully accomplished by well-planned and high performance action.  Your mastery of the data management of the Professional Development Training scheduling systems has enabled the team to approach compliance activity with confidence. Through your diligence and persistence, you are developing more efficient and effective procedures and developing great relationships along the way!  Your hard work and dedication is recognized by your team and everyone.

In fact, the Professional Development team in their nomination creatively shared all the reasons you are a Right Fit. So here goes:

Humorous – a most essential quality when working in a fast paced, intense department

Energetic – she keeps us all on our toes and reminds us about exercising regularly

Adventurous- PD is constantly exploring new processes in collaboration with IT. It takes a brave soul to   work with us sometimes and she participates fully

Tenacious – she is very determined to see a project through to its successful completion

Heartfelt – Heather puts her heart and soul into her work EVERY day!

Educated – she is an excellent problem solver, intelligent and well educated

Right fit – I don’t know where PD would be without Heather. When Heather was asked to join to PD team she was taken out of her comfort zone, but she has proven to herself as well as her colleagues, that she is in the right seat and SPIN is very fortunate to have her as an employee.

Heather, through your high performance actions you are an outstanding example of someone who is living SPIN’s Pillars.  On behalf of the SPIN Corporate Board, SPIN Managers, your colleagues, and all the people we support and their families, we are so very proud of you and congratulate you on this most deserving Employee of the Month Award for July, 2014.
