In Central Park there is a bronze statue of Alice in Wonderland
and every time I've been there to see it children were climbing all
over it. Children from head to toe, jumping on and off, sitting in
her lap, wrapping around her arms, hugging her around her neck!
What a warm and happy memory that is from my children's younger
years. When I visited your classroom I had that same feeling and
thought that circle time reminded me of the Alice
statue.
You are so warm and loving with the children and so patient. You
clearly have a very strong connection with your little students.
They love you to hug them, read to them, help them, sing with them
and just sometimes let them sit with you. It is clear that each
child in your class is special to you and each is a unique
individual that you care about.
You are also the ultimate professional as a teacher. You have good
relationships with all of the support personnel who come and go to
support individual children and you work as a team with the
paraprofessional staff assigned to your class. You are also very
busy as a participant on the Educational Advisory Committee, as a
student in a Master's Degree program and as an advocate for
children and supportive resource for families and colleagues.
So it is my pleasure to honor you today as Employee of the Month
and to thank you on behalf of the Board of Directors, your fellow
employees and all your little students for a job well done. Your
quiet smile and positive outlook, your professional approach to
teaching and the bonds you form with the children are to be strived
for by all of us.
Sincerely,
Trina Losinno, Executive Director
