It is a pleasure to honor you today as Employee of the Month.
The Norcom Community Center is doubly blessed to have you as a
fitness specialist. First, because you have such energy and
enthusiasm for what you do and secondly, because you bring your
"dad" knowledge with you to the job. You understand that expecting
someone to give their personal best is motivating, energizing and
affirming. Your nomination letter indicates that your motto is "No
excuses!" And that's good because most of us could come up with
about a hundred excuses when it comes to fitness, exercise and
healthy eating habits. By your way of thinking, there is no excuse
for not living your life in the best possible health.
Your fitness classes are fully enrolled with a growing waiting list
because you have made fitness fun and "cool." Boxing, floor hockey,
basketball and some new twists on the old standbys are the lures to
get people motivated. Your current class has lost 62 pounds in ten
weeks! That's fantastic. And in the spirit of leading by example,
you accepted a challenge to lose 15 pounds by May or shave your
head. Your leadership is also evident as you do fitness assessments
for the Take C.A.R.E. project participants. Teaching staff how to
motivate and support people to adopt healthy lifestyles is
critical. Without solid staff support, individuals probably won't
accomplish their goals.
The SPIN, Inc. Board of Directors, your fellow employees and NCC
participants thank you for caring so much about healthy living and
supporting so many to realize this goal. We wish you well on your
own weight loss challenge and hope you get to keep your hair.
Sincerely, Trina Losinno, Executive Director
