How appropriate that our Employee of the Month for September is
an Infant/Child Development Specialist better known as a teacher!
School has reopened after a brief summer break and all of the
classroom decorations remind us that vacations and warm weather fun
are quickly ending.
The energizer bunny of the Northeast campus is how your supervisor
describes you in her nomination letter. You teach morning and
afternoon special education classes and despite having a double
class load, you get to know each child as a unique individual and
develop a special rapport with their families. You understand the
power of positive relationships and work hard to keep
communications open to better meet everyone's needs.
Your classroom is bright, cheery and fun; you are well organized
and integrate the children's goals into the Creative Curriculum and
the literary components of the Read, Play and Learn Program.
Collaboration with therapists and other members of the Children's
Services staff is one of your hallmarks. Participating in
committees and encouraging others to join you, including getting
families to be involved in the P.A.C.E. committee is one important
way that you demonstrate your commitment to our children even
outside of the classroom. You are a supportive team member and are
always ready to assist those who need help.
Additionally, you are enrolled in the Arcadia master's degree
program offered at SPIN, Inc. and attend conferences and workshops
whenever possible to keep your teaching skills up-to-date and at
"best practice" level.
So, it is my pleasure to honor you as Employee of the Month and to
offer appreciation for all of your fine work on behalf of the SPIN
Board of Directors, your fellow employees and all of the little
ones who are so lucky to call you teacher. Even though they are
young, you will be remembered as one of their favorites.
Sincerely,
Trina Losinno
Executive Director
