Dear Nicole,
Mahatma Gandhi said “Keep your thoughts positive because your thoughts become your words. Keep your words positive because your words become your behavior. Keep your behavior positive because your behavior becomes your habits. Keep your habits positive because your habits become your values. Keep your values positive because your values become your destiny.”

Nicole, luckily for us, since you entered SPIN’s doors on May 16, 2011, you have been sharing this lesson of positive energy in all that you are and all that you do. Within three quick months of your hire, a tremendous growth and development was happening in SPIN’s Behavioral and Developmental Services and you were the perfect ingredient to take on the Administrative Coordinator role in our newly expanded program, SPIN-NET PACE, as well as our busy outpatient B & D clinic. Change became the constant and the extensive growth was and has been incredible!

Nicole, you are often the first voice and representative that people encounter and are a true Ambassador in every sense of the word.   Your pleasant, “can do” attitude and collaborative flexibility has been critical to the successful launch and daily service excellence during a time of rapid change.  
As Karen Smith proudly details in her nomination letter, you truly epitomize SPIN’s Pillars every day in your communication and actions!

PEOPLE FIRST: Your People first interactions with families, individuals and colleagues make everyone welcome and comfortable. This is no easy task given that families are often nervous and under stress when they arrive and you coordinate their personal information and delicate clinical needs with care, kindness and full attention.

PROFESSIONALISM: Your attention to detail and motivation to deliver the highest customer service is an example to all. In addition, you are supportive and caring, even in the most challenging situations.  You are a solid team player always going above and beyond to ensure that the clinical staff is functioning efficiently and effectively.

PERFORMANCE EXCELLENCE: You are driven by a strong work ethic and embody SPIN’S and PACE mission in all that you do.  Your relationships with all stakeholders including CBH, other SPIN staff, individuals, families and especially the Billing Team and Finance and IT partners is a critical ingredient to B&D’s high quality services and supports.  Specifically, your organizational skills have helped the B&D team learn new processes and procedures.
 
PRODUCTIVITY: You take initiative to find ways to do work better, faster and smarter. By always “thinking outside the box” and finding ways to support the rest of the team in getting billing done quicker, information sent faster, and keeping the lines of communication open and fully functioning.  No obstacle is too large for you while you devote your urgent attention and complete tasks with great thoroughness and care.

Nicole, on behalf of the SPIN Corporate Board, SPIN Managers, your fellow B&D colleagues, the individuals and families, we are so very proud of you and congratulate you on this most deserving Employee of the Month Award for April, 2013.  Thank you for demonstrating SPIN’s Pillars in all that you do. 
 
There is no doubt that your positive thoughts have become your words. Your positive words have become your behavior. Your positive behavior have becomes your habits. Your positive habits have become your values. And I don’t doubt that your positive values will become your destiny.
