When you have a big challenge ahead of you like starting a
critical new model of service from scratch, you need the very BEST
on your team. What defines the very BEST? Well, we happen to know
because we are fortunate to have you to show us the way! As a
Behavior Specialist in the B.E.S.T. Program, our pre-school program
for children with Autism, you invest and believe in each of the
children and support them and their families to attain their
personal outcomes. You have been a part of the development of this
program from Pilot to permanent and you have made a lasting mark
due to your hard work, persistence and love.
Karen Smith shared in her nomination letter the impact of your
passionate dedication. Karen wrote "From day one, Sharon works to
know the families' and children's needs intimately and
wholeheartedly, and transforms this knowledge into effective
behavior support plans. Sharon has a keen sense for working with
people of all ages, and can navigate the most challenging of
situations with the children and families that she supports. Her
relationships with her entire B.E.S.T. and educational teams are
based on a solid foundation of commitment and caring for everyone
that she works with on a daily basis".
We are inspired by your work ethic and your ability to bring joy to
all that you do. And you are able to accomplish all of this while
being a wonderful mom and demonstrating your dedication to your
professional development through your seeking an advanced
certification/degree and continued best practice knowledge, skills
and competencies. Balancing it all isn't easy but you can teach us
all a thing or two!
Sharon, your results speak for themselves as we see the real
changes, improvement and growth in the children and the families
that you support. Although B.E.S.T. stands for Behavioral and
Educational Support Team, we also know that it stands for you who
Bravely takes risks to support children's needs, Energizes all team
members, Shares yourself in all that you do and Transcends to
greater possibilities.
So, on behalf of the Board of SPIN, Inc., your fellow colleagues,
and the children and families that you support, it is my privilege
to recognize you as the Employee of the Month. We thank you for
making a difference in the lives of so many.
Sincerely,
Judy Dotzman
