Steve Mello
Dec 1, 2010
Dear Steve,
You are our December Employee of the Month, but due to a delay in
engraving your plaque we are acknowledging you in January. What a
wonderful "Mello" way to both end and start a year.
First, I have to quote from your nomination letter:
"How do you express in words the impact that one person makes on
the entire agency with his daily efforts? Well, the word and the
person for whom we give thanks is Mello, Steve Mello. Our stress
for billing is mellowed 100% because of his knowledge and
applications in Total Record. Most departments rely on this program
in one way or another and Steve transforms the ideas into reality
and the reality into measurable data collection tools. He has a
waiting list for project requests!"
Quality Assurance and Professional Development rely on you for a
variety of data collection tools and they are always amazed that
you can listen to their ramblings in insufferable detail and
miraculously produce a vehicle to enable them to organize system
issues and collect needed data. The quality of your work is
laudable, but the real measure of your value to SPIN is your "can
do" attitude and your kind, patient, understanding presence in work
groups and project teams. Even though you don't support individuals
directly, your work is often responsible for keeping people safer
or improving their quality of life by making information and data
available to staff who need it to make good decisions. Your support
of the SPIN mission through the team process is a wonderful example
of the power of working together.
So it is a pleasure to honor you as Employee of the Month and to
thank you on behalf of the SPIN Board of Directors, your fellow
employees and all of the people SPIN supports for doing and giving
your best every day. You may be "mello" but you are also
mighty!
In appreciation,
Trina Losinno
Executive Director
