Dear Terry,

Bill Keane said “Yesterday's the past, tomorrow's the future, but today is a gift. That's why it's called the present”. And SPIN’s present came three years ago in the form of a highly skilled, experienced, qualified and wonderfully gifted, talented artist who did not need a lesson about SPIN’s mission. He had lived it within his strong, committed extended family.  What started as a planned short amount of time to offer to SPIN was quickly seen as too good to be true and someone who we needed to ensure remained with us for a lifetime!

Terry Neumeister did not need the kind of onboarding as a new employee requiring extensive information to learn about SPIN’s history, mission and values.  On the contrary! Terry’s link with SPIN dates back to the early years as his family has been committed and connected with SPIN for generations. Terry’s family members were some of the very first Camp Counselors; teachers, therapists, volunteers and still are!  In fact, who better to develop and produce innovative materials to communicate SPIN’s people first brand than someone who clearly understands SPIN’s critical impact to children and adults with disabilities and their families? Certainly no better choice than Terry, Graphic Artist, Extraordinaire.

Terry, you immediately began and continue to make your personal and professional mark in the ongoing success of SPIN’s supports and services.  From the day that you became a part of the corporate team, it was easy to see your quick ability to learn, create and most importantly, your positive, proactive customer service excellence.

Terry, you abound with skills and talents and luckily you share them with others through your collaborative approach and strong teamwork ability.  Those that work with you immediately see your strong ability to communicate with all stakeholders.  A quiet leader, you support everyone.  And Your “All In, Can Do” attitude is at the essence of your consistent demonstration of SPIN’s Pillars in all your actions and interactions. Truly you are an example to all.

SPIN’s Corporate Team, the proud nominators, boast that “Terry has the opportunity to share his talent with many departments at SPIN and the demands on his time and skills are great, but Terry in his kind and patient way would never give that away.  He treats each person that he works with as if they were the only one that matters. His professionalism and passion for SPIN’s mission are reflected in every interaction and in the incredible quality of his work.”

Terry, you are seen at your desk, quietly designing our outstanding printed materials late into each evening. (Even when we tell you “it is time to go home”!)  Your meticulous attention to detail, calm demeanor and impeccable work ethic combine making SPIN and our mission come to life via beauty and vibrancy.

On behalf of the SPIN Corporate Board,  your Corporate Staff Team, and all your SPIN Family, I am so pleased and proud to present to you this most deserving award of July 2015 Employee of the Month Award. We greatly appreciate the commitment of your family (of course including your incredible wife Kathy!). Terry, your commitment to SPIN yesterday, today and tomorrow is truly a gift and will always be our present.  We are so very lucky that your “stopping in” for a moment in time has led to your hopeful staying for a lifetime!
