Important Medical Insurance Card Update

All employees and dependents who are covered by SPIN’s medical insurance provider, Aetna, will receive new insurance cards for 2013. Aetna expects that we will begin receiving our cards in the mail beginning in early January. Please continue to check your mail for your new cards, which will be delivered in an intentionally generic envelope. **Important: If you or a family member need medical attention on or after January 1 and before your new card is received, please call Aetna Member Services at 1-800-962-6842 for verification of coverage. As of Thursday, January 3, 2013, you may also log onto the Aetna Navigator website to print your temporary ID card. Click here for Aetna Navigator.

New HRA cards are being mailed from Alliant Insurance and should arrive during the first week of January. If you do not receive a card by January 9th please call the customer service number to request another one. The number to call is 877-819-9413 or you can email BenefitsEast@alliantinsurance.com. As a reminder, any employee who had a HRA card for 2012 should keep the same card for 2013.
