Warm Thanks on the Cold Days!
A Warm Thank You to a Dedicated Staff!
All this week I’ve been wondering when SPIN moved to Alaska without telling me! Really, doesn’t having a good sense of humor help us all get through the kind of week we all have had?! Actually, a good sense of humor and a phenomenal team that is full of heart for SPIN and dedicated to what they do for others is what helps me.
Looking around SPIN this week and hearing the stories of this team braving the elements to get to work is truly humbling and inspiring. I heard no complaining, just tales of strength and determination to get to work, make things safe and keep doing what you all do best; supporting a Life of Possibilities through demonstrating SPIN’s Pillars and making our mission happen.
Some of the incredible things happening this week around SPIN begins with our Real Property team that arrived to work well before the light of day to plow, shovel and de-ice our facilities to keep everyone safe. Our Direct Support Professionals all worked diligently to get to work and once there so many worked two and even three shifts to make sure that the individuals were safe and secure in their homes. Our DSPs and our Real Property teams in particular made sacrifices to their own personal lives out of their commitment to SPIN and to those we support.
Special recognition also to Residential Operations for the incredible job you did, to our Overnight Supervisors, our entire Residential Management team and to our Community Access team. In addition to this, everyone in the organization who needed to be at work forged ahead through the snow, ice and cold and worked especially hard this week. You are true SPIN heroes!
On behalf of the SPIN Corporate Board and the Corporate Officers, I extend my heartfelt gratitude for your dedication. We can all look forward to spring together!
Warmest Regards,
Kathy
