Special People In Northeast, Inc., in conjunction with the Social Capital Initiative, is hosting two new events this spring. The first is "A Day of Stewardship", in which our agency, program participants and employees along with other community members will give back to our neighborhood by participating in a park clean up. This service project will be held at Pennypack Park on the Delaware located just off of State Road near Rhawn Street on Saturday, March 24, 2007 from 8:30am until 12:30pm. The second activity, "A Stroll in the Park", is planned for March 25th. This event is an opportunity to enjoy the fruits of our labor from the day before as well as to raise awareness and financial support in creating inclusive environments for adults and children with disabilities. All proceeds from this event benefit the construction of a new playpark for SPIN’s Children’s Services.
