Dear SPIN Direct Support Professional,

As acclaimed by United States Senate Resolution, today is the start of National Direct Support Professional Recognition Week! At SPIN we know that the tremendously important role of Direct Support Professionals is the heart and soul of our quality people first services.

Truly nothing is more important to an individual achieving a Life of Possibilities than having a highly competent, dedicated Direct Support Professional working with him or her. Examples of individual’s benefiting from high performing DSPs are everywhere at SPIN. When I hear the stories or see people getting healthier or learning something new or being fully cared for in a personal way, I am filled with pride for our amazing team of DSPs. Whether you are supporting someone in the hospital, at home, in the community, SPIN’s DSPs do it with caring, respect, optimism and determination.

I thank and commend you for choosing to be a DSP at SPIN. Being a SPIN DSP requires commitment to SPIN’s mission and Pillars and a lot of hard work. SPIN DSPs are the gold standard because you are passionate and dedicated to the well-being of others.

National Direct Support Professional Recognition Week provides me with another opportunity to reflect just how meaningful and critical your profession is. You do so much for others and I just want you to know that I never forget how important you are to people and to SPIN’s quality.  On behalf of the SPIN Corporate Board and all those who depend on you for support, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for all that you do for others.

With Sincere Gratitude and Appreciation,
