Dear SPIN Direct Support Professional,

We are happy to inform you that we will begin a weeklong celebration of YOU as a valued and dedicated member of SPIN’s Direct Support Professional team!  As acclaimed by a resolution of the United States Senate and recognized by Governor Tom Wolf, the week of September 13th to the 19th is designated as a week to honor the incredible work that you do in providing a life of possibilities for those we support.  We will kick off this celebration on Friday September 11th at the NCC. We have invited area legislators to be a part of this important event so they may join with SPIN leaders in expressing their gratitude for the work you do.

At SPIN we know that the tremendously important role of Direct Support Professionals is the heart and soul of our high quality people first services. Achieving a Life of Possibilities is paramount to SPIN’s mission and cannot be accomplished without passion, determination, professionalism and competency: all qualities that are demonstrated through the work our DSPs do every day. I am filled with pride at SPIN’s amazing team of DSPs. Whether you are supporting someone in the hospital, at home, in the community, SPIN’s DSPs do it with caring, respect, and optimism.

I thank and commend you for choosing to be a DSP at SPIN and this recognition week provides me with another opportunity to let you know just how important you are to SPIN. You do so much for others and I want you to know that I never forget how important you are to people and to SPIN’s quality. Activities During Direct Support Professionals Appreciation Week

• Friday, September 11th –10:00am Appreciation Kick off at Norcom Community Center and then at Lehigh at 1:00pm
• Stop by the “HR Café” for healthy snacks and messages of appreciation from the HR Team.
• Stop by SPIN’s support departments in Philadelphia and Lehigh for acknowledgements and gestures of appreciation!
