Maya Angelou has said about the profession of nursing that, “As a nurse, we have the opportunity to heal the heart, mind, soul and body of our patients, their families and ourselves.” As we consider this powerful quote, we think of the transformative power of the nurses at SPIN in your dedication to the health and well-being of each person you support. Our nurses go above and beyond as you work with Doctors, DSPs, families and others toward the attainment of the best possible health outcomes in each person’s life.

Providing so much more than just a medical and clinical approach, SPIN’s nurses have friendships and meaningful relationships with each person and know people’s personalities, needs and interests as well as their health situations on a deep level. Whether bringing someone their favorite coffee before an appointment, an extra hug during a procedure or a reassuring smile when someone is not feeling well, SPIN’s nurses are always there with the little things that mean the most.

Our nurses embody the Maya Angelou quote as to the “heart and soul” of nursing, which we all readily see in your commitment to quality care, passion for people and dedicated work to improve the quality of life, and ultimately, the happiness of the people we support.
