Points of Transformation 2013

The 13th Annual Points of Transformation Awards were held this past friday at the Ray & Joan Kroc Corps Community Center.  This event sponsored by the Department of Behavioral Health and Intellectual disAbility Services, highlights the contributions made by Direct Support Professionals, Supervisors and Supports Coordinators throughout the City of Philadelphia. 

All of the Awardees and Nominees have committed themselves to supporting people with intellectual disability to lead a full life in the community and exemplifying the motto of the Intellectual disAbility department of "It's all about community".  This year SPIN was proud to nominate three very deserving nominees.  Vanessa Freeman, Direct Support Professional was nominated and awarded and Honorable Mention for her demonstration of dedication, compassion and commitment to the men she supports at Fulmer.  Glenn and Michelle Kornegay, SPIN managers were nominated and Points of Transformation Award winners for their work transforming lives through their dedicated service with the SPIN Choir, which has been recognized throughout the city. 

SPIN is so very pleased and proud to recognize Vanessa, Michelle and Glenn for their outstanding work and committed service excellence.
