SPIN is proud to announce that it has been selected by Community Behavioral Health (CBH) as one of two provider organizations in the Philadelphia region who will be developing and implementing a full range of innovative services for children and adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and their families. SPIN, along with its collaborating partner, Northeast Treatment Centers (NET Centers), was selected from a field of 15 applicants after a rigorous review of its proposal submission. In its award posting, CBH cited SPIN/NET’s prior experience supporting children/adolescents with ASD and their families, as well as our organizations’ responsiveness, qualifications, and capacity to deliver innovative programs that are in keeping with CBH’s Clinical Practice Guidelines. SPIN plans to build on the success of its current services for children and families affected by ASD, and looks forward to working in partnership with NET and CBH to unfold high-quality, evidence-based, and outcomes focused services over the next year.

This expanded service array will be coordinated through SPIN’s Behavioral & Developmental Services Department under the leadership of Annemarie Clarke, Ph.D., Corporate Officer. Dr. Clarke is a licensed psychologist with extensive experience working with children and adolescents with ASD and their families. Her team includes psychologists, licensed counselors, behavior specialists, and child development support specialists with many years of experience in this area as well.

SPIN’s CEO, Kathy Brown McHale said of this announcement: “SPIN is thrilled to have been selected by CBH for an expanded role in providing services to children with autism and their families. CBH’s selection of the SPIN/NET partnership solidifies SPIN’s emerging reputation as a premier provider of autism services in addition to our long term standing as a pre-eminent provider of services for people with intellectual disabilities. Given the growing numbers of children being diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders in our city, we expect these services to significantly benefit our community.”
