Teacher Appreciation Day!

Dear Children’s Services Team Member,

In her now famous 2015 TED talk, early childhood educator, Kate Gallagher speaks about the transformative power of high quality early care and education. Her TED Talk is called, “Assembly Required”, referring to, “the single most important feat of construction our society undertakes…the assembly required to build physically, emotionally, cognitively, and socially healthy children. The healthy child does not come pre-assembled, Kate Gallagher explains, work is required.

That important “work” is the domain of SPIN’s early childhood teaching staff. With this perspective in mind, there is much to do and say as we honor SPIN’s incredible teachers during national Teacher Appreciation Week this year.

The futures of so many “little ones” are in your hands and nothing is more important to the future of our world than the work you do.  As a member of SPIN’s Children’s Services team, you open up the world to the children by instilling a love of learning, and developing their confidence and they become prepared and excited for life-long learning.  You bring your Child-First values, energy, creativity, education, and training to what you do every day. The children, their parents and all of SPIN knows we can count on you for that excellence every day.

I am so impressed when I see you in your classrooms or on the playground as you teach and guide and support and interact with the children. I am aware of the countless times each day you share your creative energy and lessons with each child all at the same time as you may dry a tear or solve a problem. Yours is a very demanding and challenging job and SPIN teachers prove every day you are second to none!

You may never know the difference you make in the lives of the children you teach each day.  Most will not come back when they are older to say thank you for believing in or encouraging them.  Yet, they will take the gift of the high quality early education you give them and each will become healthier, kinder, more capable people throughout their lives because of you.

Thank you from all of us at SPIN for bringing your talent, energy and enthusiasm to your work with young children every day.

Warmest Regards,
Signature
