Trina Losinno(Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) - After 40 years, Trina Losinno, Executive Director of SPIN will retire from her position in June. Judy Dotzman, SPIN's Corporate Officer for Professional Development will assume the position of Executive Director on May 22nd. Judy led SPIN to be acclaimed nationally and internationally as a premier learning organization through the last decade and has been a leader in the organization for close to 25 years.

Trina began her career as a special education teacher at the Torresdale Elementary school where she met David Losinno and the two began dreaming of what they could do to improve the lives of their students. From these dreams, SPIN was founded as a summer camp program for children with intellectual and developmental disabilities and then a great organization began to take off. Trina became the heart and creative inspiration of the agency. She brought order and planning to David's visionary ideas. Trina taught and inspired others so the organization could grow to serve over 3,500 children and adults in 2011.

As Executive Director for SPIN, Trina led the quality initiatives that resulted in the organization receiving numerous accolades and awards locally and nationally for program quality. Trina has also served on boards, professional organizations, and committees throughout the City and State, most notably serving as Chairperson for PAR as she has sought to make the world a better place for children and adults with disabilities. In 2010, Trina received PAR's Humanitarian Award and was also recognized at SPIN's 40th Anniversary celebration with the "Trust the Dreams" Award, which she had originated 40 years prior.

As a mother of five and grandmother of three (to date), Trina has shown many women the way to balance a challenging, inspired career with an involved, committed family life. One of her legacies is that SPIN has leaders who are equally dedicated to SPIN and their own families.
