Week of the Young Child - Share a Story with the Kids!

The week of April 23, Through April 27, 2007 is the Week of the Young Child and our theme for the week is literacy. Both of Children Services campuses, Drummond and Frankford are participating in this initiative and I would like to invite you all to participate as well. We are asking all those who are interested in coming to one or both campuses sometime during the week to read a book(s) to our children. Here in Frankford, if possible come between 11:30 and 1:00, but if these times are not convenient for you come at any time before 2:30. We have 14 classrooms between 1616 and 1642 so we have lots of children who would love to have someone read to and with them. You may bring your favorite children’s book or use one of ours. I know that many of you feel that Frankford is so far away but it is only 15 minutes down 95 and then 5 minutes to our beautiful center. If you have never been here we’ll include a tour if you would like, or come and have lunch with us before you share your story time. If you are going to Drummond please contact Maryellen, Sandi, Corine, Colleen B., or Donna and they will assist you in setting up time and place.
