Dear Avalon Team,

The legendary coach, Vince Lombardi, said that "Individual commitment to a group effort - that is what makes a team work, a company work, a society work, a civilization work". The Teamwork that Vince Lombardi refers to is not only an NFL football team, it is a group of competent individuals who care deeply about each other, are fiercely committed to their mission and are highly motivated to focus their energy and expertise to achieve a common outcome. And here at SPIN we would add "See Avalon Team for Demonstration!"

Creating and sustaining successful teams requires a strong personal commitment, belief in team synergy, collaboration and a great deal of courage. Although the majority of your team consists of new SPIN employees, it has not stopped you from making a major impact in the lives of Josh and Adam. Each of you partner with one another to contribute your personal experience and support each other in your professional growth and development.

Tracie Funderburk shares in her nomination letter that "each DSP at Avalon presents useful advice to enhance the therapeutic and support strategies of each other to help Josh and Adam achieve their daily and long term outcomes. Their ability to adapt to any situation with ease allows them to overcome any difficult situation, transforming it into a positive learning experience for everyone".

Each of you have invested time in identifying, developing and implementing Josh and Adam's interests, strengths and talents. Your dedication to collaboration ensures a holistic environment where Josh and Adam feel safe and valued. Yet, your team's belief in them supports their success in taking risks and achieving their personal outcomes. 
Great teams form bonds that are built on mutual purpose, goals, trust and admiration. Your team stands strong together building bridges to greater and greater opportunities. So, on behalf of the Board of SPIN, Inc., your fellow colleagues, and Josh and Adam, it is my privilege to recognize the Avalon Team as the Team of the Quarter.
