Community Life Options — October - December 2008

As you know, the Community Life Options program provides individuals the opportunity to explore, work and volunteer in their community and to enjoy all that Philadelphia and its surrounding communities has to offer. The program is an integrated part of SPIN's Day Services based at the Norcom Community Center. Supporting individuals in this program requires team members to wear many hats, understand how to foster and maintain positive relationships with the variety of people involved with an individual, assess ongoing progress to determine any need for change and give valuable input to the person's ISP team to ensure that outcomes are being developed appropriately and are being met.

You are all totally connected to the people you are supporting and it shows! You keep expectations high for them and yourselves. This has brought about significant growth and positive change for all. The love and support you give the individuals and each other are key ingredients in this model of service and because of it, you all flourish. Family members have been known to be very public in their praise of your great work; it is nice for Corporate Officers to go to Harrisburg and hear about the many accomplishments of Community Life Options. 

So it is with pleasure that I present to you, Natasha, Ricky, Lenora and Patrick, the Team of the Quarter recognition. The Board of Directors, your fellow employees and the people you have fun with everyday join me in thanking you for your outstanding commitment to assisting people to live, learn and grow in their community. You are quite a wonderful team!
