What makes a house a home is family! All of you and the guys you
support, Joe, Art and Fran are family and this house is certainly a
home. Good families function best when everybody is on the same
team and shares the same values and has compatible goals.
Celebrations of holidays, birthdays and special accomplishments are
usually an important part of family life and sharing a meal
together is a traditional way that families have to bond with each
other. Communicating, sharing stories and cultures also enrich a
family's life experiences. All of this happens here as you come
together to enjoy barbeques, birthdays and holiday dinners. When
Joe suddenly became very ill you all reacted professionally to
support Joe in all the ways he needed support but you also
responded personally to the possibility that you would lose him.
Many a tear was shed as you faced uncertainty with Joe and lucky
for us all it wasn't time for Joe to go and he drew strength from
all of you to fully recover and continue to be his pleasant self.
You'll never forget that day; it will be forever a part of this
family's story. Fred, as the Home Life Coordinator, leads this team
and holds much of the history of Joe, Art and Fran. Mitsuka and
Elizabeth are strong advocates for each of the gentlemen and
Vanessa, Samuel, Christine, Jen, Deana and Carolyn round out the
team by ensuring that each gentleman is safe, has needs met and
lives the life that is so important to him. It is my pleasure to
honor you all today as the "Family" of the Quarter and to thank you
on behalf of the SPIN, Inc. Board of Directors, your fellow
employees and Joe, Art and Fran for the tremendous dedication,
responsibility and work you have put into making this house a home.
Sincerely, Trina Losinno Executive Director
