Human Resources Team Members: A team worth its salt is a team that can deliver in a crunch! Six months ago the chips were really down with an agency vacancy rate of 12% and overtime hours skyrocketing. You were brought together as a team to turn this bleak picture around. Your nominators describe you as tenacious, enthusiastic, accomplished and motivated. Six months later we all agree.

You planned a strategy, took action and screened some 2,025 applications, hired 156 candidates and decreased the vacancy rate in Adult Services by 10% and the agency rate to 6%. Though you each have individual roles in this process, you understand the need to support each other and work together as a team. You also seem to thrive on a challenge and motivate others to get on a board with you. A good number of us didn't especially want to do Traditions presentations during the holidays but you had such momentum going that we all just had to come in and support you. And, oh by the way, during the same time you had to accomplish two open medical enrollments for 650 plus employees and keep all of the day to day activities going smoothly. Margaret Mead's famous quote is appropriate here, "Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed it's the only thing that ever has."
