Dear Team Members,
Whether you are younger or older technology can be a scary thing.
Even if you cut your teeth on computer games, the internet and cell
phones the size of a deck of cards and smaller, you have to admit
that each day can bring another challenge for the user. Hardware
and software changes overnight, new technologies and products
emerge daily and security issues abound. Keeping up can cause the
common person to get migraines!
When you support approximately 900 users, the IT team must view us
as scary. In the blink of an eye we can gum up a printer or mess up
our computers or lose our phones. With 75 laptops and 150 cell
phones to keep track of I'm sure you view our mobile workforce as a
potential hazard. Imagine the damage we could all do without you to
protect us and the system. And then there is Dan, who goes about
writing software to help us do our work without a complaint. I'm
sure he has done at least a bazillion workarounds on Danic to
date.
With all that potential for disaster you still smile, seem to sleep
at night and none of you appear to be balding or going gray. We
call you for help and you often appear in a flash or at least
within 24 hours. You have great patience and give us your full
attention. You are all very trustworthy and responsible. Carol gave
me 20 adjectives to describe you. One of them was humble so I'll
stop with all this praise before you get less humble. Let's just
say that you are a great team!
It is my pleasure to honor you as the Team of the Quarter. The
Board of Directors, all of your "customers" and I thank you for
keeping technology at SPIN, Inc. in tip top shape and for doing it
so well. You are certainly a "user friendly" team.
Sincerely,
Trina Losinno
Executive Director
