Knorr Team - April 2011 - June 2011

Dear Knorr Street Team,
There are challenges and then there are challenges. What this
incredible team has done and continues to do each day is to take on
what is universally regarded as life's greatest challenge, that of
supporting a family and raising children. Lesser people and teams
would flee to safer, simpler ground, not these amazing people tied
by a bond of a higher purpose - a life of possibilities
for six lives and one family.
What do you call it when five people come together to help four
children and their parents get through the daily ups and downs of
soothing boo-boos, getting homework done, making meals, desperately
trying to get various appointments on time, delivering guidelines,
lectures and discipline, and bringing loving structure to the chaos
of a busy family of six life? I call it heroic and I call each
member of this team a true hero.
We are pretty sure there is no other organization in the world
who has taken on such a task. And when SPIN was called on to
support this family, there were initially more questions than
answers, more doubts than confidence, more worries than optimism.
We always knew the only way we could do this within SPIN's high
level performance culture was to have the right people on board.
But the right people in this case had to be extraordinary people;
they had to be people with great heart, insight, intelligence,
understanding and an incredible work ethic. And then those people
would have to come together as a team that could beat with one
heart. It is still miraculous to me that we found those right
people and that that team was formed. They are the Knorr Street
Team!
In her beautifully composed nomination letter, Team Leader and
Assisting Director extraordinaire, Peg Capasso writes about each
member of this incredible team….
Marvina brings her years of experience and her steadfast
commitment to professionalism. Jessie brings his laughter and easy
going attitude. Denise brings her positivity and her ability to
lead. Shante brings her quiet and calming demeanor. Pat brings her
dedication to helping others and her life experiences. Allie brings
her ability to ease frustration through her humor. Each of them
adds something to the team and together they accomplish so
much.
As Peg goes on to say, "The Knorr team has given their hearts
away to this family". We are humbled and inspired by your
dedication to coming together, staying together and keeping
together this family and these lives. On behalf of SPIN's Board of
Directors and our entire organization, I pronounce the Knorr Street
Team as the Team of the Quarter and I congratulate you for this
tremendous accomplishment.
My Warmest Regards,
Kathleen Brown McHale
