Pooh Bear Child Care Class — July - September 2006
Jul 1, 2006
This is a very special Team of the Quarter! Their nomination has
come from the parent of one of their little students. This parent
is also a SPIN manager but he is definitely a dad first. Here is
his story:
I normally go to the SPIN Administration and Early Childhood
building in the morning to take my son to childcare and one
morning, I bought a piece of delicious cake for 50 cents. The bake
sale was a fundraiser for t-shirts for the children to wear on
their trip to the Adventure Aquarium in New Jersey. Since it was
for such a good cause, I bought more cake.
The day before the trip, I picked up the t-shirt for my son,
Harry, at no cost because of the fund raiser. Harry was so happy
and eager to wear the special shirt. On the day of the trip, Harry
wore his shirt … and promptly spilled juice on it. He was upset and
would normally want to change to another shirt, but on this day he
said, "No, I want to keep it on." He wanted to be the same as all
of his friends.
Miss Marie and Miss Corinne put so much time energy and caring to
everything they do for the children in the Pooh Bear class. As a
parent, I know that they care about my son and will keep him safe
and secure and will always make him and his classmates feel
wonderful about being a part of this special class.
Corinne and Marie, it gives us great pleasure to honor you today
at the Team of the Quarter. The story Mr. Palmer tells of his son's
special t-shirt and the bake sale exemplifies both your teamwork
and your willingness to really make a difference for the children
in your class and their families. A trip can be just a trip or it
can be a magical adventure; it all depends on what you put into it.
Thanks for helping all the little pooh bears have such magical
days.
Sincerely,
Trina Losinno
