The Staff at Claridge — January - March 2006
Jan 1, 2006
A covenant is a solemn promise between two or more persons to do
or not do a certain thing. On March 14, 2006 you wrote the
following covenant:
As a member of the Claridge team, I commit to ensuring that each
of the individuals achieves her fullest potential in accordance
with her dreams and life choices. Furthermore, I will encourage the
strengthening of family relationships as well as respect for each
other. I will create an atmosphere in which each individual takes
pride in her home and herself and feels loved.
On March 30, 2006 you all signed it in front of witnesses, framed
it and hung it prominently at Claridge for all to see.
This was the culmination of a journey of sorts that you embarked
on some time ago in an effort to redefine who you are and what role
you have in making a difference in the lives of Minerva, Eileen and
Jill. Your Assisting Director, Frank Margerum knew you had lost
focus as a team and as individuals; the ladies you support were
getting lost in the myriad of challenges and issues you were
facing. Frank didn't want to lose any of you and so he asked for
help and got you all to agree to be a part of the solution. You,
Frank, Kathy Smith, Judy Dotzman, and Kathy Brown-McHale met for
many hours and learned about the complexities of each other, the
dynamics of the team, the relationship you had with the ladies and
how to reclaim your passion for what it is you do. Each of you did
a great deal of self reflection to gain a better understanding of
your strengths and convictions and how to put into practice what
you ultimately learned. Each of you committed a great deal of time,
energy and emotion to this process and became dynamic individuals
as well as a synergized team focused on outcomes for the ladies you
support.
The act of receiving help is laudable: it takes great courage to
leave the place you were to get to the place you want to be. You
worked very hard to get here today and it is a pleasure to honor
you as the Team of the Quarter. The SPIN, Inc. Board of Directors,
your fellow employees, Minerva, Eileen and Jill join me in thanking
you for caring about yourselves, each other and the ladies and for
promising to be the best you can be.
Sincerely,
Trina Losinno, Executive Director
