Napfle

Napfle — April - June 2010

August, 2010 -

Dear Napfle Team Members,

When referring to a Team of Teams one would assume that this refers to a Championship team. But what makes a team a championship team? Many championship teams have the following common characteristics: have a steadfast belief in each other, promote honest communication, have a satisfaction with their position on the team, possess openness toward coaching input, establish clear goals and outcomes, show unity and courage and pay attention to detail

Real Property "Snow Team" — January - March 2010

May, 2010 -

As you certainly remember, Mother Nature threw one of her biggest parties ever by dumping over 80 inches of snow on Philadelphia in the first three months of 2010. At first it was pretty and fun and because there was so much snow, it was even awesome. But the novelty quickly wore off and the inconvenience of it all became wearisome for everyone, especially you.

Of course, the Real Property snow removal team needed to clean up after this "party" so a plan of attack was developed and executed. The commercial building lots were all plowed clear while snow blowers and shovels cut deep footpaths, then everything was salted to maintain safety. All this before anyone arrived for their normal work day

Avalon

Avalon — April - June 2009

September, 2009 -

The legendary coach, Vince Lombardi, said that "Individual commitment to a group effort - that is what makes a team work, a company work, a society work, a civilization work". The Teamwork that Vince Lombardi refers to is not only an NFL football team, it is a group of competent individuals who care deeply about each other, are fiercely committed to their mission and are highly motivated to focus their energy and expertise to achieve a common outcome. And here at SPIN we would add "See Avalon Team for Demonstration!"

Fulmer — January - March 2009

May, 2009 -

What makes a house a home is family! All of you and the guys you support, Joe, Art and Fran are family and this house is certainly a home. Good families function best when everybody is on the same team and shares the same values and has compatible goals. Celebrations of holidays, birthdays and special accomplishments are usually an important part of family life and sharing a meal together is a traditional way that families have to bond with each other. Communicating, sharing stories and cultures also enrich a family's

Marchman — July - September 2008

November, 2008 -

I have had the pleasure of visiting at Marchman on two occasions: once to do a Healthy Cooking training and again to honor DSPs during the DSP Week celebration. On both occasions I was extremely pleased to meet the members of this team, see the order and cleanliness of this home and appreciate the comfort level of CJ and Brian.

Though Brian and CJ have called Marchman home for only six months, they have grown amazingly in

Watson — April - June 2008

August, 2008 -

Moving to a new home, like all change, can be good or bad depending on a person's perspective. Even if moving is a happy, exciting event, it is still a great deal of work and is often considered in the top 10 of stressors. So add into that mix the three unique ladies who lived at Ripley and found a need to move to a new home.

One of the ladies had to move due to accessibility issues but was unsure she really wanted to; another, had difficult memories of having to move in her past and the third was
